Made In The Shade

Good morning!

Unless something goes haywire, we should have our beef supply restocked by the end of this week! I'll send out an update just as soon as we have the meat in our freezers.

Portable Shade for Cows

This past week my brother-in-law Dwayne and I spent a couple of hot, sweaty days building some portable shade for the cows. They seem to really be enjoying the shade!

Of course, there's nothing like the shade of a nice big tree, but sometimes there's not a tree where you need it, and by having portable shade we're able to distribute the invaluable nutrients left behind after the cattle have spent some time lounging under the shade.

Wedding Anniversary

July 16 we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a short but sweet little overnight outing to Jackson. Thanks to Cheryl's parents for keeping our children. It's amazing how time flies.
